Monitor bearing temperature without giving up normal bearing lubrication. The ADB Adjustable Depth Bearing Temperature Sensor installs directly into the bearing housing through the existing grease zerk location, placing an adjustable probe into the bearing housing for continuous bearing temperature monitoring.

The ADB sensor is a practical option for grain handling equipment where abnormal bearing temperature can point to a developing mechanical problem. Its integrated grease zerk allows normal bearing lubrication without removing the sensor, while the adjustable probe depth helps match the sensing position to the bearing size and application.

Overview

This bearing temperature sensor monitors the bearing housing from inside the grease zerk location. It is commonly relevant to bucket elevator head shaft bearings, bucket elevator boot bearings, conveyor bearings, and other rotating equipment where continuous bearing temperature monitoring is required.

For related equipment categories, see Safety Components, Grain Conveyor Bearings, and Grain Leg Belts, Cups & Replacement Parts.

Key Features

  • Continuous bearing temperature monitoring
  • Adjustable sensor depth for different bearing sizes and applications
  • Screw-in installation using the existing bearing grease zerk location
  • Integrated grease zerk for bearing lubrication without removing the sensor
  • 304 stainless steel housing
  • 1/8" NPT mounting thread
  • 1/2" NPT conduit entry
  • NTC and PT100 RTD sensor type options
  • Cable connections are not polarity sensitive
  • Operating temperature: -22°F (-30°C) to 220°F (105°C)
  • Supply voltage: 5 to 24 VDC

How It Installs

The ADB sensor screws directly into the bearing housing using the existing grease zerk location. The sensor body replaces that fitting location, the probe extends into the bearing housing, and the probe depth is adjusted according to the bearing size and application.

The ADB body includes its own grease zerk, so the bearing remains serviceable for normal lubrication without removing the temperature sensor.

Adjustable Probe Depth

The adjustable sensing depth helps the installer position the probe for different bearing sizes and installation requirements. The nominal probe length does not mean the full length must always be inserted into the bearing housing.

Available probe lengths are 2", 3", 4", 6", 8", 10", and 12".
